A 43-year-old woman was arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder after a man died inside a property in High Hazel Crescent, Rotherham.
Detectives were called to a property in Catcliffe on Tuesday 19 October at 9.56pm after reports of a man being seriously injured.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services , the 43-year-old man was tragically pronounced dead in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
South Yorkshire Police have launched an investigation and the woman remains in police custody.
Detective Inspector, John Fitzgibbons, said: “The initial post mortem examination has proved inconclusive so we will now await the results of further tests which will determine the exact cause of the man’s death.
“If anyone does have any information, I encourage you to share this with us. We are currently supporting the man’s family and do have a cordon in place around the scene.”
